At Trinity, we nurture the growth of each student's relationship with Jesus Christ.

Trinity Youth Ministry is rooted in God's love in Christ for all people and Christ's commission that we go into all the world to baptize, teach and commission people for ministry in daily life. By encouraging a congregational culture of youth ministry that permeates our life together, we aspire to grow and send young people into a life-long relationship with God, God's church and all people.

Confirmation at Trinity

Affirmation of Baptism: Sun. October 24, 2010.
Confirmation Banquet: Sun. October 17, 2010.

Confirmation Students: You have been sent a packet of information regarding your anticipated Confirmation this coming October. In the packet you will find information regarding completion of your Faith Statement and requirements that are yet to be completed. If you have not received the packet or if you have any questions, please contact Cassie Brenden at 832.6601 or cassie@trinity-ec.org.

Youth Ministry at Trinity begins with seventh grade. 7th and 8th graders participate in Club 78, a small-group program on Wednesday evenings, and Sunday AM Teen Study, a drop-in Sunday School program especially for youth.

9th graders participate in Club 9, a one-on-one mentoring program on Wednesday nights. In the fall of the sophomore year we celebrate the affirmation of baptism with a banquet and a worship service before the congregation.

These grade-level references are guidelines only: Youth can begin the confirmation process any school year after 6th grade, and there is no deadline by which they must finish. Contact the Youth Ministry Team if you have questions about the program or pace.

This three year program begins in 7th grade and leads to Affirmation of Baptism typically in the fall of the sophomore year, though there is no deadline and teens may take as much time as they need. The program goes like this:

Teen Study

Teen Studies will begin Sunday, October 4 and continue to meet most every Sunday of the school year. Our High School Teen Study will meet in the Youth Room from 10:25-11:00 a.m. Our Club 78 Teen Study will meet in the Choir Room from 10:25-11:00 a.m. Lessons will be lead by a variety of adults over the course of the year, typically focusing on recent events or relevant topics for our lives today. No need for advance signup, just show up! All are welcome!

Club 78 - 7th and 8th Grade

Wednesday evenings for 75 minutes
The evening includes a short lesson delivered by a pastor or other speaker, followed by time with a small group led by one or two adult group guides. In small groups, youth discuss the lesson on a more personal level, share how their week is going, raise any faith questions, and share prayer concerns. The journey also includes fellowship, worship, and study.

We are using a curriculum out of Ausburg Fortress this year called "Here We Stand." Click the button to the right to access the Student Website. You'll need a login and password from your orientation packet.

Club 9 - 9th Grade

Wednesday evenings for 75 minutes
Club 9 is the final year (typically freshmen) of Confirmation and is very different from Club 78. Club 9 students will each choose an adult mentor with whom they will meet regularly to discuss faith issues, share their lives, participate in service projects together, and develop lasting friendships. Participation in fellowship, worship and study, similar to the Club 78 segment is also included.
