June 2007 Confirmation Youth Canoe Trip

Erik, Drew and Scott took confirmation students down the Namekagon River June 25-27. They hit the trifecta: great weather, great fishing and NO BUGS!

Highlights incuded spotting four-foot long river sturgeon, trying out the two kayaks, and finding substitutes for hamburger in the dinners. We all enjoyed the evening fashion shows, and Scott's Cold Stone Creamery connection made him very popular. It turns out you can sunburn in 30 seconds and we caught enough crayfish we could have made gumbo. Did I mention Erik forgot the hamburger?
