Surely goodness and
mercy shall follow me all the days of my
life. Psalm 23:6
God desires for you the grace of time to know the goodness and mercy abundantly placed around and within you. So today:
- Take time to think; It is the source
of power.
- Take time to read; It is the
foundation of wisdom.
- Take time to play;
It is the secret of staying young.
- Take
time to be quiet; It is the opportunity
to seek God.
- Take time to be aware; It
is the opportunity to help others.
- Take
time to love and be loved; It is God's
greatest gift.
- Take time to laugh; It is
the music of the soul.
- Take time to be
friendly; It is the road to happiness.
- Take time to dream; It is what the future
is made of.
- Take time to pray; It is the
greatest power on earth.
Throughout the
generations, God has provided abundantly
for people. Take time to revel in the goodness
and mercy that God generously shares with you.
How
did you "take time" yesterday to appreciate
God's goodness and mercy? Where did you see
it enacted?
God,
I take many things throughout the course of the week.
Guide me to take time that deepens my awareness of
your goodness and mercy in my life, enriches my
trust and faith in your grace, and brightens the
lives of others through my generosity of sharing.
Amen.
