Meet Our Teachers
Marlee Knickerbocker, Noah's Ark Preschool Director has been the preschool director since 2016, has been teaching at Noah's Ark since 1997, and has been teaching in Trinity's Early Childhood Enrichment program even longer! She has her B.S. and M.S. in Education and has teaching experience in regular and special education classrooms. She is married to Joe and is the mother of three young adults -all Noah's Ark alumni.
Mrs. Knickerbocker says, "I can teach what I know is developmentally appropriate for preschoolers that will enable them to be ready for the academics they will encounter in kindergarten. I love the Christian basis for all we do, especially teaching kids about God's love and how to be peacemakers. And I love spending my days with young children who are full of enthusiasm as they discover the world around them and have fun!"
Jill Kasmarek has been teaching at Noah's Ark for over 25 years. She brought her son Andrew to preschool at Noah's ark in 1994, and she's never left! She has a degree in education and has experience teaching in elementary and middle schools, as well as preschool. Jill and her husband Jim have lived in Eau Claire for nearly 30 years. Together they have four adult children and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Kasmarek says, "My children and my family made fantastic and life-long friends during our days at Noah's Ark. My children were allowed to grow, discover, and create (as preschoolers at Noah's Ark), and so have I. Through my friendships with our teaching staff, I continue to learn, grow, and be challenged to be the best teacher that I can be. God's stories and creations are awesome!"
Cassie Brenden has been a member of Trinity since 1983. She has been a staff member for the past 12 years, beginning as a Day Camp Leader, High School Youth Ministry Coordinator and Noah’s Ark substitute teacher. Cassie has been teaching at Noah's Ark since 2018. Cassie has a teaching degree in Early Childhood Special Education from UWEC. She has experience teaching preschool, and elementary through high school age groups.
Mrs. Brenden says, “I am thrilled to be a part of the Noah’s Ark Team. Both of my daughters attended preschool at Noah’s Ark. I have wonderful memories of my own children’s experiences at preschool. I can’t wait to share that joy of exploring and learning through play with all of the future Noah’s Ark Peacemakers.”
