Serving in Christ's Love and Sharing the Good News

Health Ministries

Mission of Trinity's Health Ministries: To serve God's people in Christ's name by ministering holistically to physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness.
"When evening came, people brought many who had demons in them. Jesus drove out the evil spirits with a word and healed all who were sick." (Matthew 8:16)

Who should get the flu shot?

In general, anyone who wants to reduce their chances of getting the flu can get vaccinated. However, certain people should get vaccinated each year. They are either people who are at high risk of having serious flu complications or people who live with or care for those at high risk for serious complications.

People who should get vaccinated each year are:

  • Children aged 6 months up to their 19th birthday
  • Pregnant women
  • People 50 years of age and older
  • People of any age with certain chronic medical conditions
  • People who live in nursing homes and other long-term care facilities
  • People who live with or care for those at high risk for complications from flu, including:
    • Health care workers
    • Household contacts of persons at high risk for complications from the flu
    • Household contacts and out of home caregivers of children less than 6 months of age (these children are too young to be vaccinated)

Flu shots are available from the Eau Claire City-County Health Department. For more information call 839-4718. Free flu shots for children under 18 are available at the City-County Health Department. Immunization clinics are on the 2nd and 4th Monday from 4-6 p.m., the 2nd Wednesday from 10-11:30 a.m., and on the 2nd Thursday, from 4-6 p.m.

When You Find Yourself in the Hospital

The Trinity pastors share responsibility for making regular trips to area hospitals to visit Trinity members during in-patient stays. However, they can only get information of your hospitalization when your Trinity membership is coded in your hospital file or when you or a friend inform us directly. You can be assured of a visit when you phone the church office or email trinity@trinity-ec.org in advance or during a hospitalization.
