Our Endowment
Trust Fund
Mission:
To serve God's
people in Christ’s name by providing
financial foundations to the ministries
and missions of Trinity Lutheran Church
for all generations.
"You are the
people of God; God loved you and chose
you for his own...Everything you do or
say, then should be done in the name of
the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God."
Colossians 3:12-17
Good news! Your life matters to God!
God has acted in love towards you, calling
you to respond with acts of kindness to
others.
The Trinity Endowment Trust Fund exists
so that your values and legacy of Christian
faith will live on and further God’s
work for generations to come. Gifts to
the Endowment Trust Fund become part of
a perpetual fund with earnings used to
advance Trinity’s ministries and
global missions.
You can leave a lasting gift to the future
of this mission through the wise distribution
of your estate. When you include the Trinity
Endowment Trust Fund in your current giving
or through a will, your assets can go
on to influence lives with God’s
love for generations to come.
We invite you to explore the many creative
ways you can give to the Trinity Endowment
Trust Fund. An 11 member Board of Trustees
elected by the congregation guides and
carries out our mission.

Charitable IRA Rollover Option
The time to act is now!
The Charitable IRA Rollover enjoyed by many donors in the past is set to expire at the end of 2011.
- If you have reached age 70 ½ this means that you can give directly from your IRA to Trinity and the Endowment Trust Fund of Trinity. This gift can benefit the ministries you love, without having to first recognize the distribution as income on your federal tax return.
- Up to $100,000 may be transferred from an
IRA prior to December 31.
Now is a great opportunity to make a year-end gift, especially if you are waiting until year-end to take your IRA required minimum distribution. Your financial advisor is able to assist you in directing your RMD to the church by December 31. For information from Trinity please contact Office Administrator Amber Moltzau at 715.832.6601 or amber@trinity-ec.org.
Information provided by Trinity should not be considered tax or legal advice. Please consult with your tax or legal advisor before proceeding with estate or gift planning.
- This act is The Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010, and is effective from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2011.
- This is true for federal income tax returns, but it is possible that your state does not recognize the Charitable IRA Rollover, thereby requiring you to recognize income on your state income tax return and then take a charitable deduction. On the federal return, because no income is recognized, no deduction is taken. It’s a rollover.
Faith Lights
You're invited to give a gift in honor of someone or in memory of a loved one by purchasing a "Faith Light" to go on the Christmas Trees in the entry to Trinity. For $5 a light, you can brighten Christmas at Trinity this season. Order forms are available in the narthex by the Christmas tree or download a form here. Your gift will be listed in the Christmas worship bulletins, and you’ll help build Trinity's Endowment Trust Fund. Download a form at trinity-ec.org under the Give menu.
Recent Grants
In May the Fund's Board of Trustees awarded several grants which advance this mission. They include:
