Day Camp Ministry for Young Children

The mission of Trinity's Day Camp ministry is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and to engage children to discover how wonderfully God has created them through organized play, music, story telling and art.

Camp Come & Play

For: Children with birthdays between 8-1-2006 and 8-31-2007 (limited to 12 children in each session)
Time: Session One 9:15-11:15 A.M FULL.; Session Two 12:15-2:15 P.M. FULL
Dates: On Wednesdays starting January 6, 2010
Cost: $230 - includes cost of supplies and snacks.
Location: Trinity's Nursery & Art Room

Friday Friends - Full

For: Children who are 3 by 12/31/09.
Time: 9:00-11:15 A.M.
Dates: On Fridays beginning January 8, 2010.
Cost: $225 - includes cost of supplies and snacks. ($100 deposit due at the time of registration - the remaining $125 due in January)
Location: Trinity's Nursery, Library & Art Room

Thrilling Thursdays

Spend Thursday mornings or afternoons engaged in a wide variety of preschool activities. Children will cook, read, paint, experiment, sing and dance. The class will allow children to explore and discover in the areas of language, science, music, math and art. A hands on discovery approach will be emphasized in a Christian learning environment.
For: Children who are 4 by 12/31/09 through PreKindergarten.
Time: Session One: 9:00-11:00 A.M.; Session Two: 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. FULL
Thursdays beginning January 14, 2010.
Cost: $204 - includes cost of supplies and snacks.

The Great Pretenders

Come & join the fun. Dynamic drama and awesome art will be combined to enhance children's literature and Bible stories. After creating props and costumes, children will use them to act out the stories. Theater games, creative movement, story structures and creative artistry will be explored in this high energy class.
For: Children who are 4 by 12/31/09.
Time: 1:00-3:00 P.M. on Tuesdays beginning January 12
Cost: $192 - includes cost of supplies and snacks.

Summer Day Camps - 2010

Hundreds of children will participate in the fun activities of the various camps this summer and learn of God's enormous love for them. Registration begins Sunday, April 11, 2010 at 8:00 A.M. in the Lobby/Library area.

Camp Discovery

Dates: June 14 - 18, 9:00 A.M. - 12 noon
Cost: $65
For: Children who were 3 by 9.1.09 through those who have completed grade 5. Description: Children will be challenged to discover the magic and beauty of God's world by investigating science and nature through experiments, projects, artwork, and a field trip.

Trinity Sports Camp

Dates: June 21 - 23, 9:00 A.M. - 12 noon
Cost: $40
Location: DeLong Middle School
For: Children who were 3 by 9.1.09 through those who have completed grade 4.
Description: The camp will offer skills instruction in various physical activities. Leaders will focus on teamwork, fair play and Christian values.

Camp Come and Play

Dates: June 28 - July 1
Session 1: 9:15 - 11:15 A.M.
Session 2: 12:15 - 2:15 A.M.
Cost: $48
For: Children whose birth dates are between 9.1.06 and 8.31.2007.
Location: Trinity Nursery and Art Room
Description: Children will have an opportunity to play with other children of their age. They will hear Bible stories, participate in related activities and take time out to share a treat. This camp is limited to 13 children.

Camp Cooking & Booking

Dates: June 28 - July 2, 9:00 A.M. - 12 noon
Cost: $65
For: Children who were 3 by 9.1.09 through those who have completed grade 5.
Description: Kids will experience adventures in cooking, crafting, and playing while leaders share related stories from the Bible and children’s literature. God’s amazing story will come alive in meaningful ways!

Camp Tell the Good News

Dates: July 12 - 15, 1:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.
Cost: $52
For: Kids who have completed grades 4 and up.
Description: The goal of the camp is to create the opening video segments for Vacation Bible School week. Participants will learn journalism skills through interviewing, writing, and shooting and editing the film.

Camp Veggie Tales

Dates:July 12 - 16, 9:00 A.M. - 12 noon
Cost: $65
For: Children who were 3 by 9.1.09 through those who have completed grade 5.
Description: Bob the Tomato, Larry the Cucumber and all their Veggie friends are back for another summer appearance at Trinity’s day camps. Sessions will include Bible lessons, skits, Veggie Tale videos, crafts, games, food and more!

Vacation Bible School

Baobab Blast, God's Great Get-Together!

Dates: July 26 - 30, 8:45 A.M. - 12 noon
Cost: No cost, suggested $20 donation per child
For: For children who were 3 by 9.1.09 through those who have completed grade 6.
The kick off event will be Sunday, July 25, at the 9:45 A.M. worship service. Each family unit that registers will receive a CD of the VBS music.

Special Events

Bible Sunday

Presentation of age-appropriate bibles to children in our congregation.

Age 3 and Grade 3: Sunday, September 12, 2010. Three-year-olds receive the Spark Story Bible and third graders receive the Spark Bible, NRSV.

Communion Instruction

The Lord's Supper is celebrated regularly in worship, and we invite children to participate. Trinity offers a learning event for first grade children and their parents in the Spring of each year. In the Fall we offer the same instruction to children in Grades 2 through 5 who may have missed the instruction at an earlier time. Parents who wish to have their children communing before this event are welcome to include them.

Next session will be on March 6, 2010 from 9:00 A.M.- 11:00 A.M. in the Trinity Room.

Kids in 2nd - 5th Grades
Next session will be November 2010.

Tie Dye Saturday

Date: Saturday in October 2010 - to be determined
Time: Beginning at 10:00 A.M.
Description: This day is for anyone who likes to tie dye or would like to learn. Bring your own items to dye - i.e., white t-shirts, socks, shirts, etc. If it is a new item, wash it at home before you come. Dye, rubber-bands, soaking agent will be furnished.

Advent Workshop

A fun craft event for the whole family! Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 2:00-5:00 in the Trinity Room.

Angel Breakfast

Breakfast with a Christmas Angel. For kids preschool through kindergarten. Each child may bring one adult guest.
Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 8:30-10:00 AM. Advanced registration is required for this event!
