Blessing of the Backpacks
Children are invited to bring their backpacks to Children’s Time at each worship service to receive a special blessing for the school year and a charm to attach to their backpack to remind them of God’s presence in their lives each day. This event takes place on a Sunday morning in September.
First Communion Instruction
All baptized Christians are welcome to the table at Trinity, and we want your child to be a part of this special meal as soon as they are ready. At Trinity, the decision of when a child will begin to receive communion is made between the parents/guardians and the child. We offer First Communion class twice during the year. With any questions about first communion for your child, contact Sara Reed at email@example.com.
Fall - Children in second grade and higher who have not participated in Communion have an opportunity to meet for instruction in the fall. This is a parent/child class. The First Communion celebration for these children will happen at the Thanksgiving Eve Worship service.
Spring - Children in first grade will receive instruction on a Saturday in the spring. This is a parent/child class. The first graders will participate in the First Communion celebration on Maundy Thursday.
2020 Update: There will be no in-person Advent Workshop this year. Advent crafts will be included in the Children's Ministries Take-Out Boxes.

Participants choose from more than 25 activities centered on getting ready for the Advent/Christmas season. This is a great place for children to make Christmas gifts for friends and relatives!
