Being a care team member is an expression of faith; a response to God's call.
Our Care Team Ministry

Care team ministry is a faith centered, church sponsored program that helps individuals and families cope with various non-medical needs in order for them to improve their quality of life and to remain independent for as long as possible.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” (Gal. 6:2)

Care Team Provides:

  • Social and Emotional Support - Friendly visits, phone calls
  • Practical and Physical Support - Assistance such as transportation, reading, correspondence and other support agreed upon by the care team
  • Respite Care - Helping a primary caregiver
  • Spiritual Support - Prayers and a listening ear (Doing what a friend would do for a friend)

Volunteering

Team members are men, women, adults, youth, couples, and entire families who commit one to four hours a month to call, visit, write, or provide other services within their comfort level, based on availability, interest and a sense of God’s calling. Care team members receive a three hour training and agree to attending a monthly one hour meeting. The monthly meeting provides support to volunteers, and provides time for the ‘team’ to make decisions about the care we offer and how best to support those we serve.
