Report of the 2008 Mission to Jamaica

A team of 25 from Trinity comprised the 10th anniversary mission trip to Kingston Jamaica on March 14-21. The mission was a rich experience of God’s guidance and blessing for the team and the Jamaicans who participated with us.

This year the team:

Built two homes in the Waterhouse District around Maranatha Church
Led activities with the children of Maranatha’s Basic school
Painted the school and church entry area
Served 25 families in the neighborhood with food stuffs and household goods

The partnership with Maranatha Church is a mission of outreach to transform the ghetto and it’s people in the neighborhood with hope and tangible touches of Christ’s love. This mission of “Serving in Christ’s Love and Sharing the Good News” in Jamaica brings hope and great encouragement to the people who are served and team members who give of themselves for the mission.
